Vonnegut is one of my all-time favorite writers/people, and The Sirens of Titan is up there at the top of the list for me... after Cat's Cradle and Player Piano, I think. W.G. Sebald is very intersting - have fun with that (have you read The Emigrants? Austerlitz technically follows The Emigrants, so you might want to read that one first, if you haven't already).
