D is for Doppelgänger
German words are so much fun, I love the way they just make new words by compounding existing ones ... some of them get pretty long. D is for Doppelgänger, which translates literally as 'double-walker'. Who doesn't like the idea that somewhere out there is someone who looks just like them. That just reminded me of one of the most famous doppelgängers, and the film 'I Was Monty's Double' about Meyrick Edward Clifton-James and how his resemblance to Field Marshall Montgomery was used by the Allies during the build up to D-Day.
