B is for Birth of Venus

I am going to try and offer up a variety of styles and eras for my art A to Z, and so having started with something very modern I am going to go back several hundred years to bring you The Birth of Venus by Botticelli, painted some time in the 1480s. There is lots of interesting stuff on the wiki page about the style and the meaning of the elements of the painting, but really what's not to love, with all the flowing hair and flower strewing angels (oh look, angels again, they get everywhere).
